A bit about our team...

The Chicago Fire Department Football Team, The Blaze, is a member of the National Public Safety Football League (NPSFL.) The NPSFL is a union of public safety agency football teams from throughout the United States who are united to promote a positive self-image to the public by raising funds for charity through spirited competition. Our team consists of local sworn Firefighters and Paramedics.

The Chicago Blaze a not-for-profit organization, with 501(c)(3) status. We raise funds to support our charities by playing football. Some of the charitable organizations we support include, but is not limited to;

  • The Gold Badge Society
  • Ignite the Spirit
  • The Illinois Burn Foundation.
